General Practitioners for Primary Care West Skellefteå – Heimdall Health Center

Within the Health and Medical Care Administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are gathered in a common administration and organized into county and local healthcare areas. The Skellefteå local healthcare area includes the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, the Center for Surgical Activities, and primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these units work to provide good and accessible care.

Primary Care West Skellefteå consists of the health centers in Norsjö, Boliden, Erikslid, and Heimdall. Here, we work together to develop primary care with a vital spirit.

Heimdall Health Center is located right in the heart of Skellefteå – a city with everything close by. Restaurants, cultural offerings, and shops, as well as parks and a riverside promenade. The proximity makes daily life easier. There is also much to explore outside the city. The health center has specialized teams in asthma, diabetes, elderly care, and pediatrics, as well as paramedicine and rehabilitation. We have approximately 12,000 patients registered, ranging from young to old. Here, we work together with the patient at the center. Heimdall is a large health center with many colleagues to laugh, talk, brainstorm ideas, collaborate, and develop the operations with.

We are now looking for two general practitioners who want to work with us and participate in the development of primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. RESPONSIBILITIES

As a general practitioner with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that make people feel safe.

You meet patients of all ages with a wide variety of health conditions and assess and treat them independently as well as in teamwork with other professions. The work as a general practitioner involves following individuals over time and taking the person's entire life situation into account in the medical assessment.

You will become part of a physician group that collaborates closely with other professional groups at the health center. The role also includes mentoring students, residents (ST), and junior doctors (AT/BT). There is an opportunity to be responsible for your own specialized area. A senior physician who is an associate professor in cardiology works at the health center and can serve as a mentor in clinical research. This offers excellent opportunities for those who wish to develop academically and combine clinical work with research.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist competence in general practice.

You are a present and engaged person who, with expert knowledge and care, sees the patient and contributes to a holistic view that makes the care process better and safer. You enjoy collaborating and being there for other people.

Swedish language level C is a requirement.
